I think Andy Gershenzon, who wrote, directed and stars, must have forgotten how actual humans act and carry out conversations. The script for Half Empty/Half Full is riddled with unrealistic and cringy dialogue that renders the tension buildup almost useless.
Having a film set in a single room is risky, because if the dialogue is bad, then there’s a high chance the final product will suffer. This is a shame, though. This film has a nice concept and at times is entertaining, but it would’ve benefited a lot from having more grounded dialogue and actions.
