A beautiful film let down by shoddy acting. The cinematography is amazing, and there's a complicated but interesting plot, but some of the acting is so bad it gave me second-hand embarrassment. Talking loudly does not make you look scary or sound like acting. Additionally, the script is unnecessarily deep in random areas, and is just cringey. I sincerely hope the second film is better.

A beautiful film let down by shoddy acting. The cinematography is amazing, and there's a complicated but interesting plot, but some of the acting is so bad it gave me second-hand embarrassment. Talking loudly does not make you look scary or sound like acting. Additionally, the script is unnecessarily deep in random areas, and is just cringey. I sincerely hope the second film is better.

They wait until 50 minutes in for the main fella to really let loose
They save the dismemberment for 2 hours in 😂
The biggest issues this film faces are the heavy reliance on slow motion and what I’d call “trailer music” which both make it feel so artificial. It takes away from the melodrama and the genuinely entertaining action.
The plot goes for a spin on Blood Brothers,  which reminded me of RRR which kinda does the same thing (but I found that massively more entertaining 🤣🤣🤣🤣)
I like the overreactions of the characters in this, it reminded me of the Shawscope films I enjoy watching
The whole “give them drugs to make them mad” is a very lazy angle to have zombies in your film 😂 Considering they had fodder in the film earlier I’m really not sure what this was for? 
They do some very snappy shot for shot cutting during the prison scene which felt very lazy.
This evokes some semblance of Macbeth too. I am very illiterate but the idea of an impregnable fortress and army being destroyed just by the existence of one man comes from Macbeth, no?
