What do you get when you take the antagonist from the movie Phonebooth, and the action from Speed. You get the South Korean action drama film, Quick. Lee Min Ki plays Han a motorcycle courier that is just trying to escape his motorcycle gang life. When one day someone rigs his helmet to a bomb, from here on out Han has to complete deliveries to keep the bomb from going off on his head. An interesting concept, but I feel this movie gets bogged down by the senseless melodramatic story. At times they knew what kind of film they were making and bought into the unhinged nature of this film, but when they tried to get serious this film screeched to a hault. It’s still a fun film. I would just prefer if it was 30 minutes shorter.
