While Love is Colder than Death introduces us to Fassbinder’s eye with a camera, I think this one is a great display of how he approaches relationships. A super simple premise attests to that, letting the character work be the focus. Very cool to see the evolution.

There should be a separate rating for thinking something is interesting/impressive and/or influential, as opposed to watchable. I did not enjoy watching this but I can see the value in it.
