A wickedly funny story about Martin, who flees to the Norwegian forests to escape his midlife crisis and stumbles across Musa, a criminal trying to make his way back to Denmark.
This really reminded me of Taika Watiti's earlier work, particularly Hunt For the Wilderpeople it has the same charm and dark humour that I really liked.
It kind of has the 'fish out of water' trope but manages to turn it on it's head slightly since Martin is fully aware of how the world works, but ultimately disagrees with it and would rather escape from it all, making those interactions where worlds collide all the more hilarious.
It didn't get as crazy or absurd as I was hoping for, but when it did lean into that side it was a great time.
As is pretty common with these types of films, the end starts to lose itself as it becomes a little more serious in tone. I think it balances the shift in tone fairly well up until the last 20 minutes or so, where I could've done with a little more wackiness.
