While BLACK MEDUSA is often compared to as a hybrid between PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN and A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT, its a mostly a silent portrait on a single female serial killer; exacting violence upon the male-dominated Tunis population as some of form of exercise in regaining control/autonomy.
While the cinematography consists of long tracking shots and spectacular urban shots that are further enhanced by its B&W gloss, the narrative itself is more vibe than any actual plot.
