the cover is cool looking, the movie is just kind of a nonsensical fever dream.
i really tried to force myself to like this, and there were definitely parts i did enjoy. i really love the narrators voice, it’s really surreal and dreamy it kind of soothes your mind. the concept is also really fun, a woman who buys a house gets haunted by a native american spirit, probably the last real highlight is i just love the 70s horror atmosphere all throughout, it’s pretty comforting. but this film is just painfully underwhelming, and kind of just goes no where. it barely even feels ‘horror’ it’s just basically a woman and 2 kids walking around the place.. which isn’t particularly entertaining. this is very much a prototype horror experiment, and while i respect that it isn’t engaging in the slightest. the actual horror elements really contrast the rest of the film, as they feel quite jarring.
