This western-comedy has a theme song where it proudly proclaims “The Ballad of Josie, A story to remember”, but, unfortunately I don’t think I will. Josie is too bland and unfunny, but it’s worst offense is being so bluntly political and then undoing its whole message in the final scenes. Her pair of Levi’s burning in the fireplace being the ultimate symbol of the films betrayal to the rest of the film’s feminist message.
