Some exceptional sequences I thought
Really shining out in its weirdness
Pretty trippy at times
I really liked the limited spaces and characters
A very confined story
Could’ve definitely been used for more like this as a basis
Felt very one dimensional this was here to tell one linear story and that it did
Superb performances - one of Nakadai’s best perhaps
Nakamura was bringing it too, they felt super well cast and well matched with their respective evils
Main thing for me was when this did something good, even just down to a single shot, it would kind of abandon it and not do it again
That was a shame there was a lot of saucy stuff some real nice stuff
Either way, this was a weird one to watch in the middle of the day
Not sure so much why
Just feel like I’m drifting in and out of real life a bit
And I don’t know how much of that is the film’s contribution or I’m just having a weird day
But this was definitely a bit bizarre
Sort of like that 1989 Revenge was
That’s still stuck with me

Might watch Revenge again soon yeah
