Has mat pagli pyaar ho jayega
In Love Hostel, with great visual style, we see Haryanvi Anton Chigurh track down an interfaith Hindu-Muslim couple, all in the name of some fanatical moral code. It’s a brutal gorefest that explores a North Indian hellscape of thematic elements such as honour killing, communal lynching, caste and religious intolerance.
While the primary cast of the film is incredible, greater focus should have been made to the subplot of Inspector Rathe as well as the film’s overall dialogue; which I felt was slightly off and often confusing. It wasn’t engaging enough for me to be bothered about what was said. Rather, I found myself guided through the film via the on-screen action. -1 star for this.
