Run Woman Run tells the story of Beck, a single mother in her 30s who is recently diagnosed with diabetes. She has to face to reality of needing to get her life together. At the centre of the heart of the film are the performances. Dakota Ray Hebert is wonderful in the lead role and is expertly supported by veteran actor Lorne Cardinal (who plays her father) and Asivak Koostachin (who very charmingly plays real life hero Tom Longboat). The charm of Run Woman Run is undeniable.
