A lot of cool things about this movie, but unfortunately it wasn't my favorite. Most of that is probably due to the animal cruelty: They record lions and tigers fighting each other in cages, and I hear a tiger died off camera from one of these fights. Yeah, not a fan of that.
If you can get past that, you can enjoy a female Universal Monster, John Carradine as the typically evil scientist, the ape-suit man himself Ray "Crash" Corrigan, and some sweet Jack Pierce makeup. If only they could focus on that more than the lions and tigers, but I get them trying to go for a new vibe.
