so i was on my annual hunt for new slasher films to watch from the 1980s and stumbled across this one titled blood tracks from the year 1985 and i’ve got to say that i found this one to be such an enjoyable one for me but i will say that the beginning was a bit slow but it did give us a little insight on our group of victims in the film that were supposed to care for the remainder of it and i did love how the main cast of characters of this one were a group of rockers with the rocker girlfriends because in many slashers it’s your usual group of teens or young adults but i loved the idea of making it centered around alternative people because i’ve always loved how rockers in the 1980s looked with their long messy hair mixed in with very cool and creative outfits and makeup and i also loved that it took place in the snow since many slashers don’t take place around the cold atmosphere which when they do i tend to love seeing it and i also liked how they made the final couple of this film be likeable because it made if better for me to root for both of them to make out alive instead of being stucked with unlikeable characters that i’m supposed to care about through the entire thing and the last thing i’ve got to say about this one is that the one thing that i think could have been a bit better were the kills in this one like sure there was a bit of blood here and there but for the most part some of them were just quick little kills which i thought that they could have done a bit more creative with them considering the killers in this film would set up traps for their potential victims and i thought that they could have used that bit to come up with some very bloody but also gruesome deaths for our cast of characters but im not that saddened over the deaths because that one part didn’t stop me from enjoying this film any less and so i’m still gonna give it the 5 star rating because it became a new favorite of mine.
