While I love Lovecraftian sea-creature-horror films, Gods of the Deep is just a whole lot of nothing. The plot has been done a million times before and to better success, the acting was incredibly flat, and the creature design was honestly discouraging.
I'm all for low-budget horror, but they must at least deliver some interesting ideas to be worthwhile. I don't know what I expected from this, but I'm still disappointed.
