❝We wait until the girl comes online on WhatsApp. Once she's online, we go offline. Then feel sorry about ourselves as it's only you calling her. And when the phone rings, we get excited to pickup, only to find it's a telemarketing call.❞

I think the reason I enjoy watching this film so much is the relatability of its characters. These are everyday people, the kind of roles Dhanush aces, and it's great when the plot compliments them. There's nothing too complicated happening at any point in the film, so its simplicity is backed by an excellent soundtrack and visuals, as well as fantastic performances from the supporting cast, especially Prakash Raj. Thiruchitrambalam showcases a lot of Tamil culture almost unknowingly, and it's a nice entertainer to relax with, have some fun, and shed a few tears.
