Spends 2/3 of the movie seemingly attempting to satirize and mock toxic-masculinity urban drama films like 8 Mile, then in the final act just seems to double-down on any of the inherent issues presented in that genre. Homophobia, misogyny, and garishly awful rape and abuse presented for "black comedy" steamroll over any goodwill those first two acts could have brought, and needless to say, when the N-word was turned into an inspirational mantra/training acronym, the edgy jokes went from cute to obnoxious and tired.
Worst joke: The N-word mantra
Best joke: a brief cutaway gag where it's revealed this isn't set in a post apocalyptic future, but instead, modern day Canada, and the protagonists are just really niche weirdos who love a legally distinct Dancing Dancing Rhythm game....
