this film just shouts out loud “absurd”! the camera work is always so manic, not caring what the audience might see as every frame is all over the place. the voice dubbing is messy but fits the already bland nature of the film.
the tonal shifts of this film are crazy. it starts off as an inspiration from suspense silent films. with the presence of no motive to commit a violent act frighteningly showcased with screams but the picture is like old times filmmaking like Suspense (1913).
then halfway through the film it switches Batman (1966). but the thing is it’s more bizarre than batman after that. you thought the shark scene in batman was weird. well rat pfink experiences something way more odd.
