Okay, anyways, I was actually trying to rewatch The House with Laughing Windows, but I stumbled upon this instead. House of Whipcord is so odd that it’s interesting, though it’s held back a lot by the film constantly telling the viewer, rather than showing them. It would have been mildly funnier that they named a character Mark E. Desade if they hadn’t hammered the joke in so much. She literally says to him: “Mark E. Desade…it just sounds a little like something else. Mark E. Desade, the Marquis de Sade.” Idk, like have some faith in your audience man, you don’t need to spell everything out 😭 Oh, and then after she tells him that his name sounds like the Marquis de Sade, she decides it’s still a chill idea to head over to his place. LMAO….
