Belongs with Miss Sloane in that category of post-Sorkin, post-House Of Cards political thriller with a wildly overqualified cast that's a lot of fun but quite stupid. Jodie Turner Smith really impressed me here, I liked her a lot more than I did in After Yang. Cox is, like, way too good for this role. Ann Dowd is doing the same voice as the Hormone Monstress in Big Mouth for some reason. John Cena is excellent casting and it actually reflects well on him to play a role that's basically "what if The Rock runs for president but he's super corrupt?". When Timothy Busfield showed up I got excited and then I remembered he's a terrible person and that's why he's never in stuff anymore. The third act is very silly and knocked this back into three-star territory, and the redemption arc for Dowd's character (who we know is a climate change denier) is wildly misjudged. But very watchable and very current!
