Way sillier and way chiller than the other Seijun Sezuki’s I recall, but the light attitude really fits Sezuki’s briskness. There are some fun inventive action and stylish sequences too of course. Jo Sushido is still the coolest guy ever, but instead of playing a wild man he plays a guy who is trying desperately to keep his cool.
Makes me wonder what a full-blown musical by Seijun Sezuki would look like.
