“Fistful of Vengeance” is a movie sequel to the Netflix show “Wu Assassins”. While “Wu Assassins” was reaaally dumb but fun, “Fistful of Vengeance” is even dumber but loses steam fast. Look…a lot can be forgiven for these direct-to-video action films if the action is good but this one has some of the most numbing and uncreative action sequences of Iko Uwais and Lewis Tan’s career, with the bland choreography and bad rhythm often displayed in blatant wide shots for us to see how much director Roel Reiné couldn’t care less about making his more-than-capable martial arts action stars look good. A disappointment.
