One of the most genuinely moving tv specials I have ever seen
First thing out of the way Tony Bennett is a fucking champ. While at the age of 95 and suffering from Alzheimer’s, he still has one of the most beautiful voices I've heard. His warmth radiates through the whole performance. And though hes much more reserved than Gaga he still manages to present so much life and love in his vocals and stage presence. Second Lady Gaga is one of the best living performers period. She is only one of a few people who is a triple threat in terms of performance. If she went to Broadway she would rock the theater world. Her versatility and range as a singer is incredible. In addition she and Tony Bennett have such a genuine warmth and care for each other. They work so amazingly off each other. Another thing I would love to mention is the band. They are all killing it and every soloist looks like they are having the time of their lives. (I need someone to speak to me the way Gaga spoke to the guy on drums.) Overall a beautiful special with such a kind, sweet heart behind it. Its only 44 minutes go watch it right now.
