A temporary house for abandoned children near the front line in eastern Ukraine is run by a small group of social workers determined to provide comfort and safety. It may be humble and somewhat run-down, but this house is filled with love and offers up to nine months of refuge to kids whose fate will be determined by the system. During this short time, the caretakers try to nurture within them a sense of stability and normalcy.

I have a soft spot to movies about children in trouble. This hit that spot. Hard. These kids are everything. It's unbelievable that they managed to film them in such an intimate, real, yet fully cinematic, way.

Heartfelt and brutal at times, with a solid theme and goal of showing us what a place like this in, but man sometimes it feels too scripted and tries to hard to reach the heart strings with so many moments of the kids doing so many secretive or destructive things while being watched(the cameras recording them) but not watched (lack of authority figure). Still interesting watch
