this film was so important to me. i loved the way the director portrayed the immigration system and process while also talking about music. the feeling Doris’s parents got when they received their green card was seriously so beautiful and i wish i get to feel that some day. i loved the cinematography as well.
ps. this film made me miss my indie latinx cuco kali era in sophmore year 😩

I really liked the inclusion of home videos in the introduction and conclusion. The ending was powerful and felt perfect for this story. This doc depicts a really important perspective of daughters of immigrants.
