Fright Show

A collection of four short horror films with half hits, half misses. Dr Doberminds suspense and practical effects were good. Illegal Alien was my least favorite due to it being a parody and it was all over the place in general. Nightfright was decent but left me a bit dissapointed due to a lack of any effects at all really. The thing in the basement was great, great effects and comedic tones throughout the entire thing. Definitely the highlight of the collection and while this was a cool watch I dont see myself ever coming back to this again.

Dr. Dobermind is great. Powerfully reassuring to go from the hacky framing dialogue to some actually funny dialogue. Plus it’s a lot of fun, running through gags before abruptly ending.

Illegal Alien is… well, it’s a very shitty parody of Alien. All of its good decisions are drowned in shit nerd jokes. Everyone involved deserves a swirly. Ugh. 

Night Fright. Back on track. Enjoyable. Great monster!

The Thing In The Basement. I mean, the dorks in this are pretty great. The monster looks stupid but otherwise fun effects. But it ends on a dumb note.
