Bollywood film often require its viewers to suspend disbelief and accept it’s outlandish endings and silly plot point. This film is no different. It ends with right wing supporters beating up one of their own, a popular right wing youth leader to death — who by the way, peddled lies about the truck he was driving as an escape vehicle of a love jihad couple (the female being his own fiance).
My other issue with this film is how social media is portrayed; aare yaar media literacy bhi khoi cheez hoti hai. The entire subplot of the social media team from Delhi is frankly painted through the lens of aging boomers.
There is nothing fascinating or great thematic takeaway from this film that viewers are not already aware of. Probably the worst film I’ve seen Bhumi and Nawazzudin in; their performances here do not soothe this haemoragging feature.
