“I thought the sky was just blue… but it isn’t. There are so many different shades.”
I ended up giving the movie a 2.5 not because it was boring, but because it felt a bit too flat overall. The film has some beautiful and emotional moments, but the plot never really builds in a way that fully pulls you in. It kind of drifts instead of developing.
I also wish it spent more time focusing on the war in vietnam. Those parts felt the most intense and interesting, and adding more of that context could’ve given the story more weight and urgency. Instead, it leans more into quiet reflection, which works at times, but ends up making the whole thing feel a bit one-note.
