Fuck gentrification and chicago public schools. It amazes me how we are in the 21st century and Black and Latinx students are still experiencing the same racism (but they make it more “discreet”) from 80 years ago. I loved how the director were able to make this film with the principal (a white male) without being a “white savior” story. The principal is the definition of a great leader and ally. And a shoutout to the 3 black women who led this heartfelt and powerful movement. They are truly amazing and powerful. Such a great and moving documentary.
