the layer of personalities within the protagonist's complexity is something i resonate with in a personal level. it's as if he mirrors me... he mirrors me into the very core of my paradoxes and shortcomings--only for me to long for a genuine form of dialogue with my parents. facing multiple battles all at once hits you rock bottom that anger becomes a flow of tears running on your cheek whilst burning out of frustration. it sucks.
retrospection was his approach in finding the truth: the other part of him, for him to understand his mother's reasonings and get his shit together with his lover. I love that. it's the redemption we should see in the denouement.
