I don’t think it’s a perfect movie, I didn’t like how some parts of this movie were managed to be portrayed, I also do think that maybe the director was trying a bit too hard for the film to be "deep" and "artsy". However, this topic needs to be talked about. The movie did a great job in bringing up the 513 incident to the Malaysian public again. Although it lacks portraying depth — some more nuanced perspectives, I think this indicates an opportunity for the film industry in Malaysia to come up with more projects related to the 513 incident. I’d love to see more of my local cinema with good quality films. Good luck Malaysian cinema.
