Baby 20 year old Tony Perkins in screen debut ....you are so dear to me. I just want to pinch his cheeks so bad.
For a remarkable cast of actors in a movie about a remarkable actor- this is...remarkably underwhelming and forgettable. It's 80% Spncer Tracy saying the same thing over and over again grumpily. Enough charm with it's cast (particularly Jean Simmons) to not put me to sleep but not much beyond that. Sorry Ruth Gordon, how I adore you so... this movie is simply not nearly interesting or good enough for you.
