I haven't seen any other iteration of Wages of Fear, but I'd be willing to bet that this is the worst.
It's one of the slowest action films I've seen in a long time and it never picks up the pace at any point. It's boring from beginning to end.
The action is very uninspired and is like so many other films that do it better. I will say that the gun work and explosions were nicely done. Some of the explosions look very cgi, but others look Michael Bay level.
The acting is not great. Alban Lenoir is by far the best. French Johnny Sins was a horrible choice for the main character and he was extremely wooden. Ana Girardot is okay, but she could be taken out of the movie and it would be exactly the same.
Without spoiling it, this might have had the most abrupt ending to any film I've every seen. So much for wrapping things up.
