Literally what the fuck was that ending?! Very good and abrupt, it felt pretty modern. I’ve never seen a classic film end like that. I enjoyed it although it was upsetting.

A movie whose premise is so common and cliché and you know exactly where it's going to go, and it still breaks your heart anyway. I will always love the pairing of Margaret Sullavan and Jimmy Stewart, and they're the reason this movie is as strong as it is.
