I won’t give away the ending but Ruan Lingyu not getting the happy outcome she deserves is getting a little too infuriating. Let me see one of her characters be smiled by fate for once! So far A Spray of Plum Blossoms seems to be the exception but to be fair she was a side character in that one. Let her be happy goddammit!
