Scary af.. I'm okay with haunted house but not this one I guess. It was intense especially start from ep4 and go on.

Much more in line with The Curse instead of The Grudge.
Slow, confusing, and shockingly violent, Origins does set itself apart from it's predecessors, and holds its own pretty competently. Unfortunately, it's not very scary, instead going for a more creepy and disturbing effect which it achieves pretty easily.
Unfortunately, though, I totally didn't understand at least half of what was really going on. Everything on the surface was perfectly understandable, but towards the back half (mainly episodes 5 & 6) I found myself pretty lost in trying to explain to myself what was going on. Some character motivations had me lost, and some character fates had me reminded of Twin Peaks season 3 (though without the explanations).
I really think this would've benefited if there was just a pinch more explained. Not everything needs to be spelled out obviously, but the season 2 that was likely expected never actually happened and we are unfortunately left grasping at straws for some of the answers.
I do think the end works, especially if you subscribe to the popular explanation (the only one that makes any sense, really), even if it does raise some problems concerning timeline stuff.
Not my favorite Ju-on(still held by The Grudge & White Ghost) but definitely a worthy addition to the franchise.
