Incredible! I'm not sure what took me so long to finally watch this, especially after being super hyped about it in the months leading up to it's release, but in typical Netflix fashion, it kind of fell to the wayside. Fortunately, I did watch this show after being gifted a figure from it from my lovely partner for Christmas.
Immediately I was hooked when slapping the first episode on, the off kilter vibes and editing, combined with the sing-songy dialogue, and gorgeous art direction... absolutely engaged me. I love how original they take this incarnation of Godzilla and friends and the way they weave it through a bunch of theoretical physics and take Goji into a cosmic horror high concept scifi kind of realm that absolutely works for me. The characters are all incredibly likable and very intelligent in a way that makes them engaging to watch in every single scene. Again, the art direction, from the animation to the designs to the very well integrated 3dCG elements all dripped with such style and beauty.
And at the center of all of this, Big G himself, is so fucking cool. The series uses Godzilla as the convergence point for all this intradimensional bullshit and the depiction of Goji is very reminiscent of Shin Godzilla in many ways, while still being his own original and horrifying monster that fits perfectly in this world.
But the real star of the show here is Jet Jaguar. I didn't super vibe with it at first, but once Jung got put in there and he had his own sentience, he easily jumped to one of my favourite parts of this whole series and is definitely my favourite incarnation of Jet Jaguar by far (not much competition). *Jet Jaguar PP is GOATed.

Also, the resolution of this series is how a message going forward through time from the past and one from the future meet at the Singular Point. Thats what we in the biz (of being mentally ill, tenet obsessives) call a temporal pincer movement.
In the end, 6=9 and they better fucking make a season 2 because I need, I repeat, I NEED the pay off to the final scene immediately.
