Episode 02 and 03 (October 13)
Dude. What a pathetic child for a hard, loud, boisterous man Hemingway was. Always need a companionship that adores, serves, and tends him full time. Although remorsed, he's ego as a man was thick as fuck. Pushing people who love him just because he gets bored? Love that Martha Gellhorn stands for herself. But fuck. Could trace it back to this mother which he called an all-time all-american bitch. Wanting love and care, almost motherly-like, but when he had it, just sabotages it. That's what bad parenting do folks. And all of the trauma he had, from his mother, to his first nurse love, to the wars, it all lead to his death. Just like his father before him. Tragic. And if only, that times was more open with mental health, maybe things could've been different.
Overall, the documentary was good in painting the story, the myth and the real, Hemingway. It is smart that his life was seen in the point of view of all the women in his life. Well because partly, it's where he put his world around aside from writing this novels of good work. They also take the side of the woman pretty well too, I suppose. Given a fair share amount of voice while not taking away the focus from Hemingway. Was so amazed with the archives they have, the video clips and the photographs, and the letters are very stunning to look and be read at. And that last 30 mins, shattered me.

Sa sobrang daming ganap sa buhay ni Hemingway, isang oras na ang lumipas sa dokyu, hindi pa rin napag-uusapan ang mga gawa niya. Pero maganda ang pagkakalatag at istruktura ng kanyang buhay, dahil kita na agad kung saan niya pinanghuhugutan yung bawat kilos niya. Hindi lang sa kanyang akda, kung 'di pati rin kung paano niya tratuhin ang mga taong nakapaligid sa kanya.
