this was such a breath of fresh hair... i've been looking for that one miniseries our movie to be my hipification and to remind me why i love movies and tv and i couldn't be more happy. What a tender, caring, weird, quirky and eerie peace of television. I was surprised this was directed by that guy from The White Lotus, definitely have to check him out, but this was such a creative exploration of the story, they keep telling us this is not a depiction of the truth, this is drama, this is television, and it is used as a storytelling tool in such a creative way. really there's no other word to describe it but creative! at this point we all know and love Olivia Colman and David Thewlis, but this is really the Colman show. she cannot make you not love her character, no matter what you know or think is true or not. this is an incredible exploration of devotion and broken people and, as i discovered this show was created by Ed Sinclair, Olivia Colman's husband, i cannot but see this as an exploration of devout and unconditional love, especially as a love letter to Olivia Colman her self. i couldn't be more satisfied right know... love love LOVE this show!
"No, I'm not fragile, I'm broken. So you can't hurt me."
