god walking through the memorial felt like i was walking on people's graves

i am a 22 year old from australia, of course, i have heard of 9/11 and over the years, i have seen several videos online and heard some stories from this day but nothing could have prepared me for this, in a way, i never realised the insanity and the true magnitude of this tragedy— hearing people's testimony's of survival, seeing all that footage from that day, hearing people talk about their loved ones that never made it home, seeing the names and the faces of the people who were lost, hearing about the first responders that put the people first and died trying to save as many people as they could broke my fucking heart.

Probably the best documentary about 9/11 I’ve ever seen

a gargantuan project full of some of the most haunting archive footage

 this feels extraordinarily thorough and has an interesting perspective of focusing on the human beings that were affected by the attacks (whether it be victims inside the building at the time, first responders or family members of victims), instead of focusing exclusively on the attacks or the reasoning behind it or the perpetrators

shows this national tragedy in a close and personal way i’ve never seen before as someone thousands of miles away and was 5 years old when the attacks happened

Absolutely harrowing and devastating. I teared up many many times while watching. I think this is probably the most important documentary I’ve ever watched. What made it so powerful were the dozens of personal accounts from people at all different areas of the World Trade Center - you can’t help but to put yourself in their shoes and experience the entire day with them as they retell it. This was not about the politics, this was not about the war, it was just about the people who were there and their stories. 

Vital viewing for anyone wanting or needing to understand the devastation of 9/11 on a human level.

Absolutely harrowing and devastating. I teared up many many times while watching. I think this is probably the most important documentary I’ve ever watched.
