It's fascinating to see so much raw footage of this guy over the decades, but due to the format of this being a Netflix Docuseries, it feels like it goes for all together too long. There's a lot of great sequences and raw looks into Robbie's career, but I can't help but think that streamlining it to focus on particular throughlines of his life or including a CGI monkey could've elevated the experience. Though, the rawness of so much of the footage makes for some quite uncomfortable sequences, like the build up of the Close Encounters tour or relapsing on prescribed medication. High point has gotta be the Conan O'Brien jumpscare.
