Man, I didn’t think I would like it as much as I did.
I didn’t know anything about the Lockerbie bombing, so I don’t know what’s true in this story and what‘s exaggerated for dramatic purposes. But I do know, that I missed out on a part of history. A part I didn’t even know existed until two days ago.
Every episode was greatly acted by Colin Firth, Catherine McCormack, Ardalan Esmaili and Sam Throughton.
There were a couple times where I had tears in my eyes because I felt compassion for every character. I believed everything they said and did.
We follow the grief of one man, and the impact it has on everyone, his family, journalists, Baset,… and he only wants too know the truth.
Below are a few of my thoughts while watching the episodes, or even just sentences which I thought were beautifully phrased.
Ep.1
Goosebumps. Colin Firth is for real just great in everything he does.
Ep.2
- Damn. You need too have balls to go meet with Gaddafhi, not once but twice.
- I just want too give Colin a hug every time I see him on screen.
Ep.3
- Eating on paper plates just too not do the dishes and save time
- “Loved, remembered and longed for always”
“But, I’m telling you they were part of this”
- “Because our governments decided they were?”
- He was literally kept in the dark in the court of justice after he showed the message on his yellow legal pad.
Ep. 4
- FOUR YEARS for a decision wth
- It’s just that, people are led by what they see on the news or on social media. I think that most people just believe what they see, they won’t criticize it anymore like Jim does here everytime. Jim knows what he’s talking about. He reads everything there is, he talks with the person who ‘did it’ and he talks with every party. I feel that he is the only objective person on the case. He doesn’t have economical benefits with solving the case. Only emotional benefits, because he can then ‘close of’ a chapter of his live.
Ep. 5
- The wall is back baby
- “I am no use to anyone as an innocent man, only too you”
- “When I die I will go too a place where I can see Flora, and I will tell her that her father is my friend”
