I loved the chaotic but delicate tone of it. each episode was different, but was loosely brought back together by the last 2 episodes in a meaningful way. the humor in a seth rogen directed show was always gonna be on point, and it does not fail. the cameos from all kinds of actors and directors, mimicking a real movie studio, definitely made it feel special. the last 2 episodes were especially beautiful, but the others weren’t that far behind. each episode had a different theme, trope, or even completely switching genres at moments. the noir style of the missing reel episode was so fun and stood out to me. seth rogens character regularly expresses his love for bookends, and the show follows up by having so much of them, and it is so satisfying to watch.
