At the beginning I was really invested in learning about the foundations that built this community that preaches they are the chosen ones, but then you look closer at their home and teachings and realize how atrociously they fail to follow their own principles, yet still hatefully condemn, publicly shame, and point fingers at anyone who steps out of line.
Then the plot started shifting all the attention toward Sam, who I’m guessing might represent some of the deadly sins. Definitely not gluttony tho, that fella is hot and ripped lol. I just feel like the story ended up feeling short and rushed. From my point of view, it would’ve been slightly more interesting to explore how Sam survived that community rather than the other way around.
