mehhhhhh really really really doesn’t do the show justice. it’s not awful but like yu yu hakusho s one of my favorite anime ever and then this live action remake comes up, says “so what if we crunch 50+ episodes into 5 episodes???? :D” on paper this sounds okay as in hey at least all the filler will get cut out, until you fucking realize that so so so so so so so so so many important parts we’re cut out entirely and the dark tournament isn’t here at all dude like what the fuck? the best part of yu yu isn’t even here instead it’s just entirely new and way way more underwhelming? what the fuck dude. it’s not awful, but it’s insanely dissapointing, hiei and kurama might as well not even fucking be in this they barely say or do anything which upsets me so much, just this shit is very disappointing
