i can't talk about anything else, the ending is too sad
Orga Itsuka, the person who led Tekkadan and gave every member a reason to keep moving forward. Tekkadan managed to come this far because of him, but at the same time, the reason they eventually fell was also because of him.

he was always thinking about how to keep moving forward, but never really about how to avoid the dangers ahead. still, i can’t fully blame him for that. at the end of the day, he was just a 17 year old kid carrying a massive burden on his shoulders. all he wanted was to create a future where Tekkadan could live peacefully without war, and every single member placed their hopes and trust in him.

that’s what makes his story hurt so much. he kept pushing forward because everyone depended on him, even when he himself probably had no idea where the path would end.

the ending was perfect. McGillis Fareed's goal was actually achieved in the end. Gjallarhorn finally became a true guardian of peace instead of some broken system full of corrupt people. the painful part is… it wasn’t even him who made it happen, but the very guy he fought against, Rustal Elion.

same with Tekkadan. they finally reached the place Orga always dreamed of, where they could live peacefully without fighting anymore. but knowing they got that future without Orga, Mikazuki, and the others there to see it… that genuinely hurt

FIRST SEASON REVIEW (Episode 1-25)

RAISE YOUR FLAGS FOR TEKKADAN !!

Honestly, i prefer the classic vibes like in the Gundam UC-0079 Series, but this is still great.

i really like the mecha design of the Gundam Barbatos, even though it looked strange at first, but after seeing it in battle, it's really good.

and i am very interested in their references in naming the 72 Gundam Frames from the calamity war. The gundam names are taken from Ars Goetia, the first part of a grimoire (spellbook) The Lesser Key of Solomon, which contains a guide to summoning and controlling 72 Demonic Spirits.
Gundam Barbatos, codenamed (ASW-G-08:BARBATOS), is named after one of the demons in the Ars Goetia, the 8th demon, Barbatos.

everything is explained very well, almost all characters have their own motivations for their actions, even the minor characters still have their own perspectives. not every villain in the Gundam series is depicted as evil, but rather they have their own perspective on the conflicts they face, they have real idealism. for example, McGillis Farred, he saw that the system in Gjallarhorn was very bad, he did everything to fix that system, he sacrificed his father's reputation, married the 9 year old daughter of the Balduinn family, and even killed the only friend he had. he is not evil, he just did his job in an extreme way. and this is one of the things that makes this series so good

this series also has a very big potential to be made into a larger universe like Universal Century Timeline. bcs in season 1 everything is still very mysterious, the Calamity War, Gjallarhorn, the Seven Star families, Orga and Mikazuki's past,and the 72 gundam frames from the calamity war have very few that have appeared yet, it would be great if they were discussed

i hope they make a series/movie about the Calamity War, because it seems like it would be very interesting to hear from the narrative within this series.

and for McGillis Fareed, WHY THE FUCK DID YOU MARRY A 9 YEAR OLD CHILD??

Have watched all 50 episodes, and holy, the second season is redeeming everything I expected. Tekkadan, the lead protagonist faction, is not an actual original faction; Tekkadan is a coup faction filled with slave younglings that are forced into war and mining, etc. All these children are not random either; these are kids who have undergone surgery, alayaj vijyana, that extremely death-risky surgery. Iron Blooded Orphan, yes, you could tell why the title is named. This Gundam alternative world, IBO, is the first and my entry to the Gundam universe. Rated it 9/10; I knew what I liked. The flaw why it could not be 10/10 to me is this anime's pacing is not consistent; some episodes felt like filler lmao. The difference from Darling in Franxx, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Patlabor. IBO, in my opinion, had touched my heart; it was more emotional to me. The grief and loss of everything, even the vengeance, makes bold what the Tekkadan faction is. I knew Gundam would be very political with lots of factions, but the trio of Gjallarhorn caught me off guard: Ein, McGillis, and Gaelio. Ein is probably the perfect lead protagonist for What If in the Gjallarhorn Perspective. The best thing about this standalone spinoff (besides the soundtrack) is the animation detail; you could feel the intense mecha fighting with a crazy plot. My favorite characters in the serial are probably Eugene and Ride; these two guys stand out to me with their personalities and are probably the most realistic buddies in Tekkadan, with lazy Eugene and Ride's redemption.
