This is your typical fantasy Isekai done right.
It doesn’t fiddle to much in typical Isekai tropes and even has a unique spin on the concept, without fundamentally changing the Idea and rules of reincarnation.
But that isn’t why I like the anime so much, that honor falls to the brilliant and very likable cast of characters, who have a great group dynamic and chemistry with each other.
Especially the dynamic between Haruhiro and Yume comes to mind, as they both also share the strongest moment of the series in episode 5.
More often then not the dialogue feels very natural and doesn’t seem forced one bit.
I like the tonality of the story, even if some major events were pretty predictable and I also adore the artstyle and the art direction.
The soundtrack was also very great as well!
So overall I don’t know if I’ll read the light novel, considering some of the stuff I’ve heard about it, but Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash, is yet another incredible anime by A-1 Pictures.
