A childhood romance is rekindled while out shopping, and Nellie thinks she starts to hear wedding bells.

The desire for the high life has Nellie making some big changes in her life. Some of the changes mean a loss of friends.

A Pro wrestler, Battling Bill, moves to the district, but rubs some of the patons the wrong way.

When Jed's friend dies, he takes a good hard look at himself. He vows to stop drinking and gambling, but it's Nellie who feels the strain of his changed nature.

When George suffers from exhaustion, Nellie must step in and nurse him back to good health. Gilbert is very upset when one of dress designs are turned down.

The brewery's delivery men go out on strike for more beer money. This causes Nellie even more money problems.
