He was a ticking time bomb waiting to go off. Yes CTE damaged his brain but was it worth what he has done? He tried to act tough, surrounded himself with criminals and threw his career away. He left behind a fiancée and daughter, he could’ve kept playing football normally and stayed a multimillionaire instead of committing murder. He had it all, it’s tragic
The sexual abuse he suffered as a child made things even worse. His abusive father failed him first then his mother did too, he was deeply hurt long before he hurt others. Then he became paranoid, he thought everyone was out there to get him which resulted in him killing his friend Odin in cold blood. And yet it was chilling he went on playing football like nothing had happened, that’s disturbing.. he smiled for the cameras while hiding something dark inside it showed how broken he was and how fame and money can hide the truth
What i appreciated most about the documentary (minus speculating over his sexuality) was that it didn’t try to excuse his actions instead it tried to understand them showing layers of trauma, struggling with his identity, brain damage and poor choices that led to this devastating end (I don’t watch American football so this was the first time i hear of Aaron)
