Sinners
This is everything I want in a movie. And I mean that quite literally if I made a checklist of everything I could ever want in a movie this would hit every single one of my boxes. From the moment this movie came out people were saying it was overrated, calling it that before it even got a rating. And the truth is that is just plain wrong. From an objective standpoint it is just a fact, that is wrong. This is the movie that I will forever point to as the reason why I go to the theater. This is the movie that I will forever remember as my reason for loving movies. It’s moving and beautiful while remaining a simple story, its action packed without being disorienting, its horny without being objectifying, it is perfect without being pretentious. I love this movie so damn much.
