A Complete Unknown
How does it feel? It feels fucking amazing to find a movie I love like this. It feels even better that I got to share it with my dad. Now, he didn’t say much besides it being pretty good, but I still did love getting to watch this with him.
He did ask me if I saw anything new, but about the only thing I could point out was how it captured even more of an essence of being in your twenties by showing someone as emotionally tender in his music as Bob Dylan, still having not a Clue what do in relationships. It seems as though he loves Sylvie and Joan Baez, but in his mind he can kind of have both? Don’t know if I’m going on a bad track, but it makes sense in my head.
It also just makes so much sense that this is call A Complete Unkown. Yes, it was one of the somgs he played in Newport 1965, but also Bob Dylan is almost a complete unkown personally. The only way to really learn about him is through his music. Someone who he loved as much as Sylvie had almost no clue who he was, and he didn’t even want to be honest with her.
Just an amazing movie that I can’t wait to rewatch again and again and again.
